How to fix a bad day

Are you having a bad day? It’s okay we all have them from time to time. However sometimes if you have a bad day it’s hard to not let everything spiral out of control and before you know it, a bad day has turned into a bad week and a bad week has turned into a bad month. So if you are feeling a little stuck then use these quick ideas to help brighten your day next time things go a little pear shaped.

Buy yourself some flowers

There is a reason why flowers are given all the time for anniversaries, apologies, congratulations, birthdays etc etc. In fact flowers can be appropriate for just about any occasion because they bring instant happiness. So if you are having a bad day, head on down to your local florist or get fresh flowers online in Brisbane and brighten up your day.

Enjoy a good glass of red

I’m not saying go out and get yourself absolutely written off with wine, but if you are having a bad day then nothing tastes quite so sweet as a really good glass of red. Don’t go for cheap either, you will enjoy it a lot more if it’s good quality. Either take it into the bath with you, or call up a close friend and enjoy a glass together.

Exercise

Exercise releases endorphins and endorphins give happiness, so it makes total sense that when things get a little tough we should exercise. Find something that you enjoy, whether that’s go for a run, take a yoga class or hit the gym. You’ll find you’ll get an instant rush of relief as you feel those endorphins kick in.

Take a hot bath

Melt your troubles with away with a nice hot steamy bath. Take your favourite novel in, turn your phone off and simply unwind. It can be really nice to add some essential oil like lavender to also help calm the senses and help with deep relaxation.

Write in a gratitude journal

It’s easy when things go wrong to focus on all the negative things in your life. However you can simply change your mindset by grabbing a journal (or piece of paper for that matter) and write down three things you are grateful for in your life. They can be big or small but it will help you quickly see that no matter what is going on in your life you can always find gratitude in something.
