Get to the Brisbane Comedy Festival

A car hire in Brisbane from Hertz will enable you to go around some of the best performance hot-spots to attend the funniest events in town. With stand-up performances, plays and a lot more happening between February 27th and March 23rd, go through the events calendar to make it some of your favourite performances, unwind, and have your sides in splits!

Among the many hilarious performances happening during the Brisbane Comedy Festival this year, these are only a few:

The Brisbane Comedy Festival Gala

With tickets ranging from $54 to $60, you can attend the much-awaited Gala organized by the Lord Mayor and Brisbane City Council on February 27th. This special evening of laughter and comedy features Rhys Nicholson, Anne Edmonds, Steve Hughes, Matt Okine, Tripod, Mel Buttle, Bettery Lucas and more. This bow-tie event at the Brisbane City Hall is sure to be one of the funniest galas the city has ever hosted.

Sunday Showdown

Now that the festival has been kick-started, you can attend the Sunday Showdown on February 28th at the Brisbane City Hall. Attend this exclusive night of comedy to get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to watch Nazeem Hussain, Sam Campbell, Gen Fricker, Harley Breen, Damien Power, Aunty Donna and the others take the venue by storm. This 70-minute event starts at 6 pm. It is best to arrive at the venue early on to avoid standing in queues.

Anne Edmonds

Between Tuesday, March 1 and Sunday, March 6, you will be able to watch the famous Anne Edmonds return to the Brisbane Comedy Festival with an entirely new set of stand-up comedy. After an exquisite 2015, where she sold out shows all across the country and won the Comic’s Choice Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Anne’s is, without a doubt, one of the most awaited performances this year. Attend this event at the Rooftop Terrace and you’ll leave with your sides split! Well, not literally, of course.

With many other comedians and artists to look forward to in this year’s line-up of the Brisbane Comedy Festival, booking your tickets well in advance is a great option. Rent a car of your choice, at your convenience, and you will be able to make it to the top events right in time for the opening jokes.
