The Glorious Land of the Emirates

The United Arab Emirates has truly emerged as a luxury travel destination in recent years. The UAE has made history and achieved feats that were hitherto unimaginable. An amalgamation of seven emirates, UAE has transformed itself from being a desert country to being a nation of unmatched luxury and wealth. No wonder it is the preferred destination of travel enthusiasts the world over.

Here is an itinerary you might consider on your UAE trip:

article 4.1

Start with Dubai. The most glamorous and lively city, Dubai is equipped with the best of malls, hotels, entertainment zones and beaches. Do visit the Burj Khalifa, one of the tallest artificial structures at an altitude of 2722 feet. Its observation tower offers magnificent views of the city. Dubai is a shoppers’ paradise. The Dubai Gold Souk, Deira City Centre, and Jumeirah Plaza are some of the popular shopping haunts among tourists. The splendid artificial island of Palm Jumeirah here certainly deserves a visit.

After Dubai, head to Abu Dhabi to enjoy a more traditional hospitality. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque must be visited to admire its architectural splendor. Abu Dhabi is home to the Yas Marina Circuit, the world’s first Ferrari themed park. Do not miss going to this unique park. To know more about the region’s unique history and heritage, head to Al Ain National Museum. Another interesting place to visit is the chaotic but amazing Camel Souk at Al Ain where you will find traders bargaining over these gentle giants. Al Ain is steeped in history and gives its visitors a peek into authentic Emirati traditions. Conclude your journey to Abu Dhabi with a memorable desert safari – one that includes a drive through undulating sand dunes, cultural performances and maybe even a falconry show!

Dubai Morning

Sharjah is a city known for its many museums. The Sharjah Heritage Museum reveals unique aspects of the Emirati people and has on display a number of valuable items. Other famous museums in the city that warrant a visit are the Sharjah Art Museum, Sharjah Calligraphy Museum and Sharjah Science Museum among others. Another delightful place at Sharjah is the suburb of Al Qasba, which is abounding in entertainment options for families. Its most well-known feature is the gigantic Ferris wheel known as the Eye of the Emirates. A ride offers breathtaking views of the city.  An hour’s drive from Sharjah is the quaint fishing village of Kalba. Get away from the bustling cityscape, and spend a day or two here. Visit the 200-year old Al-Hisn Museum here and the fully restored House of Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al-Qassimi, where you’ll find musical instruments displayed alongside traditional furniture.

Equipped with everything tourists can ask for, UAE plays host to people from all countries, backgrounds and tastes. Tickets, wads of money, packed bags and a travel insurance are all you need before embarking on this dream tour.
