4 New Year Resolutions You’ll Want to Stick to

I love this time of year, afterall it’s almost a new year which means a fresh start and an opportunity to transform your lives. Many of us make new year resolutions and don’t stick to them – there could be a bunch of reasons why. I think the key is making new year resolutions you actually want to stick to. If you’re looking for some inspiration, here are my top 4 new year resolutons you’ll want to keep:

1. Learn Something New
It’s easier than ever before to learn something new. These days, with the wonderful Internet, you can even take college courses online. If you’re already studying, why not look into a google play studying app to help you keep your grades high. You’ll be surprised that it can be pretty inexpensive to get study help, download a free itunes learning app to suit your studying needs. Enrolling in a course is a great way to learn new things and maybe even turn it into a new career. What better way to start the year than investing in yourself? Check out the best college learning apps on this link.

2. Get Healthy
Setting a goal to lose weight is usually pretty high on most people’s goals for the new year, however it’s important to keep in mind that this is often a vague or hard goal to keep. I think it’s better to focus on becoming more healthy – making a series of choices that will get you where you want to be. It can be something as small as limiting how often you eat out/have takeaways, reducing the amount of coffee you drink, or getting a fitness tracker, plus accessories from somewhere like https://mobilemob.com.au/, and setting a minimum step goal. The point is setting smaller goals are easier to achieve, and will make you feel more excited to keep making progress.

3. Start a Gratitude Diary
There’s always a new thing to want: a new car, a bigger house, new clothes – whatever your vice, it’s easy to get caught up in the culture of more. Practicing gratitude is a great way to become happy for what you have and to feel more content in life. There’s always more you can have, but the real treasure is in learning to be happy with what you already have – learning to want what you already have! Writing down a simple list of five things that make you grateful is a wonderful way to change your mentality towards things.

4. Consider Meditation
Our world is busier than ever, we’re doing more and managing more distractions than ever before. It’s an exciting but also exhausting time to be alive. Taking some time out of your busy life to be quiet and to focus on a mantra or your breath is a great way to force things to slow down. There are tons of benefits to meditating, such as lower stress levels, improved creativity and concentration… the list goes on. Consider getting an app to get things started such as Headspace as it can be challenging being quiet in the beginning.

New Years is a great time of year, consider these 4 changes you can make in the coming year to transform your life.
