Budgeting for a baby

The arrival of a new baby is wonderfully exciting, yet can be overwhelming when it comes to considering your finances. MyBudget have created a handy infographic for first-time parents to help them with their first-year baby budget, and also assist in alleviating some of the financial stress during this life-changing time.

With everything from nappies to prams, and change tables to child-care, costs can easily stack up.  This makes budgeting for your baby a priority, with many long and short term costs to consider. These have been weighed up within the infographic below, along with tips for keeping costs down.

(Please note that our estimates do not include costs associated with prenatal, postnatal or pediatric medical care. For those costs, please talk with your care providers and/or health insurer.)
