Getting the recommended eight hours a night can make a huge difference. Lack of sleep can lead to memory impairment, make you more susceptible to injury, and obstruct concentration. Sleep deprivation can also lead directly to obesity, so it’s of utmost importance you make sure your body receives the rest it so desperately needs.

There’s an endless supply of exercise plans, classes, and trainers that can be effective routes in your weight loss journey. The deciding factor, however, is your commitment to your physical fitness. A great way to start is by exercising at a minimum of 45 to 60 minutes per day. You don’t need to run a marathon, but get your body movin’ and groovin’ and start slow to burn off calories. Make sure you’re gulping down at least 64 ounces of water a day, and then a little more if you can. Buy yourself a new water bottle and give yourself hourly goals of water intake if necessary. The extra effort is worth it considering how much dehydration can affect your health.


Watch Your Progress

If your health goal is to lose weight, tracking your progress can be an awesome motivator. Some choose to do it by scale, others prefer to take photos to be able to compare the differences side by side. Find out what works for you and stick to it. The more progress you make and see, the more inclined you’ll be to continue on your weight loss journey.
