Why Girls Are So Emotional

This topic can become a great reason for an argument. In fact, it is not fully truthful. We would like to discuss why girls are thought to be more emotional. It is just the way we want to see them – actually, a more convenient method to perceive women. Why do we need to stick to such stereotype? Our team and NatalyDate.com made up a brief yet effective research on the topic of female temper. As well, we strongly recommend you to look through various articles to figure out how men and women treat emotions.

First, we have some rather honest reasons for women to look overly emotional:

1. Women are “blessed” with the menstrual cycle. Biologically, women are more responsible for developing an offspring. However, it drastically affects her mental stability and reactions. Women experience radical mood changes because of the postmenstrual syndrome. Common symptoms include acne, tender breasts, bloating, feeling tired, irritability, and, as we have already mentioned, terrible emotional roller coaster. Just imagine how it feels! Of course, it has a negative impact on her behavior and emotional state and, in the end, girls are believed to be incredibly expressive. The male part of our editorial office decided that they would be literally killing during this period.

2. Pregnancy drastically affects emotional state. Hormonal boom during pregnancy is even more effective in terms of mood swings. Pregnancy can be a stressful and overwhelming time. A woman may be overjoyed at the thought of having a baby one day and then just as quickly begin wondering what she has gotten herself into. Some researchers believe that certain hormone metabolites in the brain cause the mood changes – or that some women just metabolize hormones differently. This cannot be answered for sure.

3. Girls are socially accepted to be emotional. Yes, you are right. Social stereotypes provide us with the thoughtful understanding of female emotional incontinence – it is normal for a girl to be emotional. By far, this idea has the strong reciprocal effect on women – they reserve the right to behave effusively and stick to it. As a result, this stereotype becomes the base for female behavior. This is an example of a pitiful situation when an untruthful belief becomes existent because too many people believe in it and apply it to real life.

4. Unlike men, women prefer to share their emotions with friends and relatives. Girls often suggest one of the most appropriate methods to solve their issues is to talk it over with friends or parents. Of course, not every girl is so straight-out. Therefore, they discuss their problems, share it with others while men prefer to solve troubles them on their own. Guys contain their feelings and emotions inside because society teaches them to do so – and it results in passive-aggressive behavior and overall indisposition. There are differences between the genders. Each side needs to do the best they can to understand and deal with the opposite sex, rather than get discouraged about the differences. On one hand, men often tend to omit any attempts to understand female psychology. On the other hand, girls try too hard and end up being disappointed by the result.

As a conclusion, we would like to admit that this article holds a strong effect of generalization. It means that not every girl is emotional. Each and every of them treats their tempers and moods in a different way. Both sexes have to love each other just the way they are. Both men and women have rights to be as emotional as they want – with or without general approval.
