Essential Things To Do In Dubai

One of the most liberal and cosmopolitan Emirates, Dubai, not only offers consistently great weather and sunny days, crystal clear waters and immaculate service, an abundance of the most luxurious hotels, including the Royal Mirage Dubai, and stunning architecture, but there are also plenty of activities to participate in and exciting things to do and see.

First of all due to low taxes, Dubai is an ideal place for shopping! At the fabulous Dubai Mall, located in Downtown Dubai, you will be amazed by the number of designer boutiques, entertainment venues and the huge aquarium, that is home to more than 140 species of fish and mammals. It is one of the biggest malls in the Middle East and offers more than 1,000 stores, restaurants, cafes, an ice rink, cinemas and a beautiful Gold Souk. Visitors have an abundance of choice, from the most renowned designers like Oscar de la Renta and Ellie Saab, to Christian Louboutin and Chanel, this place has everything a shopaholic may wish for.

Much like the one created at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, this musical fountain show is a truly stunning spectacle that can be enjoyed by visitors twice in the morning and every 30 minutes in the evening. The height of the fountains reaches up to 150m, and with its colorful illumination and musical accompaniment, it resembles a magnificent firework that will amaze adults and children alike.

When in Dubai, don’t miss the chance to climb to the top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world that offers amazing panoramic views of the city from the 124th floor. It is one of the most important symbols of modern Dubai and is located downtown in the business center.

Another great thing to do in Dubai is booking an excursion to the magnificent Burj Al Arab, which is one of the few 7* hotels in the world. The utter luxury, rich interiors and impeccable details will impress even the most travelled guest. The building is located on an artificial island, away from the shore and resembles a ship’s sail. A postcard photo with Burj Al Arab in the background has become a “must” to post on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

If you love theme parks, visiting Wild Wadi, one of the best water parks in the Middle East, should definitely be on your list of ‘things to do’ in Dubai! Located in the Jumeirah area, it offers over 30 exciting rides, restaurants, cafes and souvenir stores, all decorated with an oriental touch.

All fans of ‘Sex and the City’ remember the scene in the sequel to the movie, where the girls go on a beautiful safari – that is something that anyone can do in UAE. You can book a guided tour where you get to ride over sand dunes and hills, marvel at the beautiful sunset in the desert, enjoy a succulent dinner with traditional music and mesmerising belly dancing.

Though Dubai is a relatively young resort area, that was developed at almost the speed of light in the past decade, its current infrastructure and architecture make it an ultra modern oasis, located on the Persian Gulf.  Not only does it offer its visitors beautiful beaches and gorgeous accommodation, but there are also spectacular architectural sites, great theme parks, entertainment venues and numerous activities for any age, taste and interests.
